Dual Monaural Headphone Amplifier

Teac HA-501-B Dual Monaural Headphone Amplifier

Please introduce yourself to TEAC's HA-501, a fully analog, dual monaural headphone amplifier with elegance. Part of the 501 series, this Class-A amplifier delivers superior sound quality, a sleek, modern design, all encased in a rugged but compact design. The HA-501 supplies regular headphone listeners with a quality sound, features and adaptable options that cannot be found in regular amplifiers. Active DC Servo Technology and Large Toroidal-Core Power Transformer In order to develop a first-class low distortion Class-A headphone amplifier, TEAC held a series of sound evaluations during the development. These tests led to the careful choosing of parts and discrete circuit design. Dual Monaural Design and MUSES8920 Op-Amps In order to eliminate interference between the left and right channels, each channel was designed individually and arranged with separate op-amp chip sets. The MUSES8920 op-amps were chosen for their highly regarded performance in a wide-range of other hi-fi components. 2,800mA of Output Power In order to drive your high impedance headphones the HA-501 reaches a remarkable 1,400mA output power per channel at 32 ohms. The device has not only has enough power to drive standard headphones but any high-class 600 ohms hi-fi headphone pair. Damping Factor Selector Each pair of headphones has its own Damping Factor, a resisting force against non-intentional movement of the diaphragm moving air forwards and backwards as sound.
